2026 Annual Appeal

You’ve protected Philadelphia’s past — will you help shape its future?

Thanks to your support, 2026 was another year of meaningful progress in protecting Greater Philadelphia's historic places. Here are just a few highlights:

• We secured historic designation for the Main Banking Room at the Fidelity-Philadelphia Trust Company building, one of Philadelphia's most extraordinary historic interiors. Five of the city's six designated public interiors were nominated by the Preservation Alliance.

• We launched the Julia W. Kiessling Historic Home Repair Program to help longtime residents maintain and remain in their historic homes, providing financial assistance for critical exterior repairs and preservation guidance.

• We continued to oppose proposed legislation that would weaken protections for historic properties, advocating for strong preservation safeguards across Philadelphia.

• We successfully nominated additional landmarks to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places, including the National Bank of Olney and the Wolstenholme Twin, a distinctive Flemish Renaissance Revival residence in West Mount Airy.
